Hey there future nurses! In this blog post, I am going to lay open the ins and outs of the BSN and MSN programs at Capella because of my experience doing papers for them, and if it can be used to make your life easier, I will be more than happy.

 If your goal is to complete your BSN or MSN degree as swiftly as possible, then Capella University's FlexPath option is for you. FlexPath allows you to accelerate your pace of learning since you're not bound to rigid semester timelines.

 As someone who has helped countless students finish both their BSN and MSN degrees through Capella FlexPath in record time, I wanted to share my best tips and tricks for blazing through these nursing programs successfully.

 

Know the Grading Timeframes

This is key! Capella instructors have 48 business hours to grade assignments after submission. So if you submit on a Monday, expect your grade back on Wednesday. Turn in work Tuesday, get grades Thursday, and so on. Holidays can delay this schedule, so check academic calendars and plan timing strategically.

 

Create a Rock-Solid Schedule

Map out all assignments for each course and aim to complete one per day. This is ambitious but doable if you're highly motivated. I worked full-time with two young kids at home yet finished assignments daily from 8pm-2am most nights. I pulled frequent all-nighters too. It takes immense discipline, but establishing a tight schedule is vital.

 

Incorporate Flexibility

No schedule is set in stone. Build in some wiggle room for the inevitable hiccups along the way. I had to change preceptors once which delayed me a few days. But flexibility allowed me to get quickly back on pace.

 

Use All Resources Available

Capella provides sample assignments, tutors, videos, and more. Access these to get guidance when needed. The tutors' "Ask a Tutor" notes with video tutorials were incredibly helpful for deciphering unclear assignment instructions.

 

Keep Two Classes Open

This lets you work ahead if an instructor takes the full 48 hours to grade. I'd often finish entire courses on weekends while waiting for grades. It also helps you maintain momentum.

 

Choose Instructors Strategically

Research instructors in Capella Facebook groups. Select fast graders to prevent lags between submitting work and getting grades back. This small step makes a huge difference!

 

Compare Only to Yourself

Everyone learns at different paces based on other commitments. Don't worry about how quickly others finish. Just focus on your own goals and situation.

Take it One Assignment at a Time

Don't get overwhelmed by everything on your plate. Just tackle the next single assignment. Each one you complete puts you closer to the finish line.

Earning your BSN or MSN through Capella FlexPath in record time is completely achievable with laser focus, time management, and utilizing all resources available to you. It won't be easy, but you can absolutely blaze through these programs efficiently if it aligns with your motivation and goals.
